The Grumet EXIT programme , Educating and training through the sport of traditional sailing , has been elaborated by the professional team of the CONSORCI EL FAR with the cooperation of the Unit of Educational Programs of the CONSORCI D'EDUCACIÓ DE BARCELONA and the sponsorship of LAUREUS (*) Foundation España .
The programme is conceived for helping in the academic success of Secondary School students, supporting them to obtain the Degree.
The programme is carried out on board the sailboat FAR BARCELONA and counts on a team of nautical professionals to develop it. The goal is that the students are capable of manoeuvring of traditional boats with self-assurance while the values associated with this type of navigation are worked: work in team , assumption of responsibilities, appraising the function of the authority and respecting the environment.
(*) The Laureus Foundation is constituted by sportsmen of worldwide elite and they use the strength of sport to approaching the social challenges all over the world. The Grumet EXIT programme , educating and training through the traditional navigation, is the first Laureus project in Spain.
